If the steps above do not work, remove the batteries of the Wii Remote and leave them out for at least 2 or 3 minutes.Grab the Wii Remote you want to sync and remove the battery cover to find its SYNC button a small red button below the batteries. You’ll find the Wii’s SYNC button inside the SD Card Cover. Do this for all Wii Remotes you wish to use and test for proper response. Turn on your Wii and open the SD card cover on the front of the console to find the SYNC button. Then press the SYNC button on the Wii console. Resync the Wii Remote by removing the battery cover and pressing the red 'SYNC' button.This will clear all synced Wii Remotes from the console. Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console and press and hold the red SYNC button for 15 seconds.Turn the Wii console on and wait until the "Health & Safety" screen appears (don't press A).
This blue light indicates which player, number 1 through 4, that the Wii remote is synced to. Quickly, go back to the front of the Wii console, open the SD card slot and press the red 'Sync' button.
